Irbid is believed to be the last of successive settlements in this agricultural region, that goes back to the Early Bronze Age, which would mean that Irbid has a history of a period of 6,000- 7,000 years. Irbid is possibly Beth Arbel, as it is known from the Bible. (EO Excerpt)
